Walk Diary

Covid-19 walk 18. Cloudy with some sunshine. Illegal gathering of eight on the last day of Tier 3 restrictions. Complicated Christmas present swap. Strung out in twos. Noisy black dog. Remnants of flooding. New housing. McCoy’s opens a few minutes early for us. Fish for Alec, Paul & Debbie, a saveloy for Dave and a sausage for Jeanne. Mercer gravestones in the churchyard. Dave’s car has ‘nice car’ written on it. John departs for a dentist appointment, and Bethany heads home. Remains of old platform and rail line in the woods near the station. A very intense and cold shower in the last 3-4 minutes.
